Context

Alloy is a possible version of DC Comics’ Metal Men. He appears for but a few panels in Kingdom Come, a possible future for the DC Universe.


Powers and Abilities

Alloy has the combined abilities of all the Metal Men. He is huge, strong, and can change his shape and form at will.


History

Alloy is the being that originally came to life as the Metal Men. At some point in their history they were fused into this one central being with none of the personalities of the individual Metal Men.

As I am not an expert on the Metal Men I will not speculate as to the reason for this. Perhaps all but one Responsometer was destroyed – oh, wait, I said I wouldn’t speculate.

At some point he hooked up with a bunch of ex-Charlton characters to form the Justice Battalion, and later joined Superman’s Justice League. For reasons I cannot fathom, Alloy apparently did not survive the confrontation at the end of Kingdom Come.


Description

Alloy is big. Real big. About 40 feet big if my estimates serve me correctly. Each of the former Metal Men seem to make up part of Alloy’s body Platinum is the head, Mercury the left arm, Tin the left leg, Iron the midsection, Lead the right leg, and Gold the right arm.


Personality

Alloy doesn’t really seem to have too much in the way of an independent personality. He is a good soldier, following orders well, but displays little free will and initiative.

Alloy does however know right from wrong, and will act in the heroic tradition.
