Blossom

Game system: DC Heroes Role-Playing Game

Context

Powerpuff Girls was a superhero cartoon that aired from 1998 to 2005. The titular heroines — Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup — are three little girls with vaguely Superman-like powers who defend a cartoon town against improbable menaces.

The show was a popular and well-reviewed one, with a distinctive style.

Powers and Abilities

Blossom has the traditional generic superhero powers. Flight, strength, invulnerability, heat vision, and superspeed. She can also produce ice with her super-cold breath.

The Powerpuff Girls’ power level varies even more erratically than most supers. One minute they’ll be using a giant, skyscraper-eating snake as a skipping rope, the next they’ll be knocked unconscious by a mid-level strongman. Hence the Power Reserve, which is designed to put them on equal footing with any single opponent.

Like all the Girls, Blossom is a proficient martial artist. She is faster than the other two in terms of Superspeed, but seems to fly at the same speed as her sisters.

History

Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, the Powerpuff Girls, were created by Professor Utonium, an archetypal good-looking scientist-hero living in the city of Townsville, USA.

The Professor used the traditional recipe: sugar and spice, all things nice…and Chemical X.

Now they regularly save the world before bedtime.

Description

Blossom is a tiny little girl, with red hair and enormous pink eyes (which look cute, rather than creepy). She wears a pink dress, with a broad black belt. When she flies, she leaves a pink energy trail. Blossom doesn’t seem to have fingers, but this impairs her not at all.

Personality

Blossom is the leader, by virtue of being the Girl who most enjoys being in charge. She likes to organize the other two, which leads to frequent friction with Buttercup. She also shows off quite a bit, and insists on being the one to answer the hotline.
