Intellectual property policy
Such an interesting subject.
Asides from the writeups expressely labelled as being home-grown and portraying original characters, all of the featured characters and distinctive likenesses are the intellectual property of someone else (comic book publishers or authors, writers, movie right holders, etc.). Quite obviously all trademarks and copyrights are owned by their respective owners. Each and every entry is specifically labelled as to its source - usually the comic book universe/publisher, the name and author of the book, the title of the movie, etc.
All of those copyrights, trademarks, etc. are used without authorization.
None of those trademarks are used in association with any commercial venture. Writeups.org is a completely non-lucrative endeavour, and is not intended to challenge any trademark or copyright. Obviously, the names of the writeups' writer and helpers indicate peoples who wrote the text about the character and do not indicate any claim of ownership about the featured character or its depiction.
The information contained within this site has an educational purpose, allowing readers to ain a better understanding of the characters owned by other parties.

Content from other web sites:
Though the normal editorial policies are not to duplicate information found on other sites, there is a low amount of such content still
remaining on this site, which is gradually being phased out. Following the most common policy on the net, these texts and illustrations are used without
authorization and are fully credited. If you spot some content that is from another site but is not credited as is, this is a major goof - please e-mail us
about those so they can be corrected.
