Gargouille v1
Source of Character: Marvel comics
Reasons: Continuing our Acolytes of Magneto series, here comes one of the minor ones. Minor enough that she never was seen in action in a detailed way -- she usually was but a random extra in the fights. Much of what follows are thus educated guesses as to her abilities. Oh - and "gargouille" is French for "gargoyle", or rather the other way around.
Gargouille
"A chance for you, Projector, and me to prove ourselves, Decay. We are Acolytes, non ? Exodus gives us this chance to prove ourselves, oui ?"
"We will follow you, [Exodus] !"

Gargouille looks like a midget human-gargoyle hybrid. Although she did not demonstrate these on-panel, she is supposed to have superhuman agility and senses. The have been represented by a boilerplate selection of additional Powers and Skills.
Gargouille was part of a relatively late wave of recruits for the Acolytes of Magneto, joining during the same general time frame as Projector and Decay - the first wave of Acolytes to reinstate the use of code names. During the clash between the Acolytes and the Knight of Wundagore, as Exodus was attempting to obtain Isotope E, she and the other two new guys were placed under the command of a longtime Acolyte, Scanner ; this group was supplemented with various mutant criminals suffering from the fatal Legacy Virus, who hoped Exodus would somehow provide them with a cure.
The mission eventually failed, largely due to the intervention of Quicksilver ; Scanner eventually chose to retreat through teleportation along with Gargouille and the other two, leaving the "impure" (the diseased mutants) on the ground. Gargouille was immediately transferred to the main Acolyte forces, and took part in the entire battle for Isotope E as part of Exodus' troops. During that battle Decay died.
LeBlanc wasn't seen in Genosha -- it is possible that she was personally loyal toward Exodus and did not make the transition to Magneto. She wasn't among the Brotherhood of Mutants Exodus later assembled either, though. She may have left the movement when Exodus, disguised as Magneto, attempted to bring peace and understanding to Genosha through psionic force and illusion.
See illustration.
Gargouille seemed eager to prove herself, and a courageous and dedicated fighter. From the few sentences she actually spoke and her real name, I get the impression she is French-Canadian. She did not seem to be a religious faithful like some other Acolytes, but more like a mutant rights activist.
She was protective of the vulnerable Decay, who seemed to rely on her for advice and physical protection.
