Validus is a giant…literally. Over 500 feet tall, Validus can project blasts of mental lightning, and is extremely strong and tough.

History

In the mid 30th century, paranoia about the interstellar monsters known as Sun-Eaters took the planet Pasnic by storm. A program was initiated on Pasnic and 4 other worlds to genetically engineer champions to fight the Sun-Eater. The people of Pasnic produced Validus. Validus was uncontrollable, though, and terrorized the people of Pasnic.

Validus was brought to Takron Galtos by the Legion during the Sun-Eater scare and united with the other 4 engineered warriors to take on the Sun-Eater. But the Sun-Eater scare was a ruse by UP President Chu to manipulate the Legion, and Validus joined with Tharok, the Empress, Mano and Persuader to form the Fatal Five.

The Five escaped from Legion and attempted to fill Chu’s plans and start a new war between Titan and Braal. During the fight against the Legion, Mano helped stop the other Five members and turned himself in. He apparently did not want to harm any innocents.

Validus and the rest of the Five (minus Mano) were later freed from imprisonment by their new member, the Emerald Eye of Ekron. The Five invaded Outpost Allen. Brainiac 5 and Gates manage to fight them off.

Description

Validus is 500 feet tall, and his outfit is white and purple. Validus’ hands have two fingers and a thumb, and his feet have two toes apiece. Validus has no visible eyes, and a large transparent dome surrounds his brain.
