Skills: Charisma (Persuasion): 06, Martial Artist: 05, Military science (Demolition): 03, Vehicles (Land): 04, Weaponry (Firearms, heavy): 06
Advantages: Ambidexterity, Credentials (Zodiac I, High), Expertise (Astrology, Business administration)
Connections: Underworld (Low), Business world (Low), Zodiac I (High, from Credentials), and presumably Underworld (Low)
Drawbacks: SIA toward Astrology, Secret Identity (lost when he gets arrested for the first time), MIA toward Misogyny and underestimating females, MPR (van Lunt doesn’t know how to swim - or at least he didn’t back in the 1970s)
Equipment:
- TAURUS HELM [BODY (Hardened Defences) 08, EV 06, Limitation: EV only when charging like a bull, and is capped at twice the APs of weight of the wielder, Bonus: the BODY protects against self-inflicted damage during Charges. Note that the /BODY/ only protects the head, since it’s a helmet.]
- Star-Blazer (original) [BODY 03, Energy blast: 16, R#04, Bonus: Energy blast has a 1 AP area of effect, but the EV of this AoE is 14].
- Star-Blazer (subsequent) [BODY 03, Energy blast (Scattershot): 09, R#04].
- Star-Cruiser. This starship was only briefly seen, but it could swiftly reach far orbit, remotely control the force field technology used by the Zodiac, and presumably had other very advanced systems.
- In 1961, Taurus used a pair of snub-nosed revolvers, probably in .357 magnum but possibly in .38 Special.
Attack el robot, attack !
In Avengers v1 #81, van Lunt sends a Mach-5-capable rocket aircraft crewed by two robots after the Avengers. The apparent stats for this Flash Gordon-style large jet-powered fighter were [STR 06 BODY (Hardened defences) 10, Energy blast: 11, Flight: 12, Radar sense: 12, R#03] and the robots had something like [DEX 03 STR 06 BODY 06, Energy blast: 08, Vehicles (Air): 05, Weaponry (Heavy, Energy blast): 07].

Drawn from the stars
For a time van Lunt wielded the original model of the Star-Blazer energy pistol - Ranged Energy Damage 14, with 12 Ranks having Burst Area. The Damage is 16 if using the uncapped scale. This Device costs 13 more points than the replica, and raises his Attack&Effect PL to 12 using the capped scale. His Averaged PL is thus raised to 7.8 — or 8 using the uncapped scale.
