Powers and Abilities

The Green Huntress is a strong, fast, tough and designed for sabotage and killing. Her entire body can be shaped into a weapon. She can consume any variety of ammunition and form a gun to use it. She can hide among a population of debris.

Her skills are all aimed at finding weakness and destroying her quarry, there are very few things the green Huntress can’t find a way to break.


History

The earliest parts of the Green Huntresses origins are not known. She was created in secret on the world T’sha’st’ra in process of being plundered for its biodiversity. It is from T’sha’st’ra that the Hatani learned the way to make their scouts polymorphs.

Those long ago scientists crafted well but not well enough to defeat the Hatani hordes. For years the Green Huntress stalked and killed the Hatani on that long lost world. When they moved on she went with them, an assassin among the ranks. It is ironic that the introduction of polymorphic scouts made it easier for the Huntress to remain concealed as they were modeled to be like her.

The Huntress arrived in the Earth system with a group of scouts. She discovered the failed mechanisms of the Green Energy Defender Kilwog. The Green Huntress made a faithful decision and killed off her scout team, revealing herself in the process. Instead of being able to recover the Green Power Ring or other powerful weapons, she encountered Superman in his early attempts to understand Kilawog’s machines.

This led to a battle that was interrupted by the Hatani scouts. When Joanna realized Superman was fighting them instead of her she initiated telepathic contact with him and learned about Earth, the humans, and their fight. She joined him in evicting them from Kilawogs pod and eventually joined the League.

Although the Green Huntress found a home with the ‘pink ones’ ofearth, when the Hatani War ended Joanna left earth to follow their fleets to other conquests; To avenge her people. It was why she was crated. Until the last of the Hatani was gone the Fight of the GreenHuntress would not end.


Description

The Green Huntress is a metamorph and could appear to be anyone or nearly anything, respecting conservation of mass. Her natural form is that of a tall willowy Green humanoid. For the convenience of the JLAers she tended to take a consistent form nicknamed ‘Death Gumby’ by Impulse.


Personality

The Green Huntress is a bio-engineered avenger and saboteur. Even when not actively involved in the hunt she is constantly looking for snipers, weaknesses in structures or avenues of escape.

The Green huntress greatly enjoyed weapons training with The Wonder Woman, Flights over the Metroplex and any variety of intelligence gathering training. She did not know friendship until her time at the JLA and part of her fight has to become preservation of her adopted world.


DC Universe History

The Green Huntress would go with her JLA anywhere to defend her new home, from the Hatani or any other enemy. In the DCU this JLA is vastly less powerful than the native one. Telepathic contact between her and The Martian Man hunter would be fascinating. The Wink-world JLA would not be above stealing powerful weapons or duping other to do their bidding.
