How to use writeups.org

The main search functions :

The SEARCH button will take you to the main page, where you can use the "Search for an entry" zone. In this zone you can :

- type the name of the character you're looking for

- and/or chose a category to browse (comics, movies...)

- and/or chose a sub-category within the category (a certain publisher whithin the "comics" category, for instance)

- and/or specify a type of character (heroic, villainous or other)

- and/or specify a game system under which the stats will be written (this site is 99+% DC Heroes 3rd Edition / Blood of Heroes Special Edition for now).

- and/or search something in the comments section (mostly for those quite familiar with this site).

So, for instance, if you want to check Daredevil© out, just type "Daredevil" or"Dare" in the "Name" then press "Search".

If you want to browse a list of Marvel super-heroes, just choose Category : "Comics", Sub-category "Marvel Universe" and Type "Hero".

If you can't remember the spelling of the name of Bruce Willis's character in the Die Hard © trilogy, search for "John" in Name and "Movies" in category for a list of movie characters named John something.

The other buttons :

The "Newest" button gives you a chronological list of entries, starting with the most recent. Good to see what's new.

The "Popular" button gives you a list of entries, starting with the most popular and ending with the least popular.

The "Random" button takes you to a random entry.
