Mindblast of the Femmes Fatales (Spider-Man enemy) (Marvel Comics)

(Danielle Forte)

Power Level:
Game system: DC Heroes Role-Playing Game

Mindblast is a minor Marvel villainess. She is chiefly known as a Femmes Fatales member.

For context, you should first read the Knockout (Elizabeth Rawson) character profile.

  • Real Name: Danielle Forte.
  • Marital Status: Unrevealed.
  • Known Relatives: None.
  • Group Affiliation: Femmes Fatales ; member of Superia’s Femizons.
  • Base Of Operations: Mobile.
  • Height: 5’7” Weight: 135 lbs.
  • Eyes: White Hair: None

Powers and Abilities

Mindblast can emit violet “tractor beams” from her brain. That’s telekinesis, Kyle (video). She used to lift big airplanes or “grab” Spider-Man, leaving him helplessly suspended in mid-air.

She can also fly – even when using her “tractor beams” to perform another task. Mindblast has even has been known to telekinetically make her team-mates fly.

Mindblast might be able to shift back to baseline human form, with no brain dome and long black hair. This is unclear, though.

Her brain seems to be protected by both a high density plastic casing (the transparent dome) and a layer of a transparent chitin-like substance. Thus, she can survive the dome being shattered.

Danielle Forte was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her early career, and how she joined the leader of the Femmes Fatales, are undocumented.

Mindblast is quiet and effective, and seems to be the most team-oriented of the lot. She mostly obeys Knockout, and seems to enjoy delivering expository dialogue.

“I’m Mindblast. My tractor beams did the job on that jet.”

For the Attack/Effect PL I went with her “Throw object” values. Her averaged PL is deceptively low given the flexibility of her Move Objects, but then it’s true that she has very little in the way of conventional super-combat assets.
