Proditor Capella (Villains & Vigilantes RPG)

Proditor Capella

Power Level:
Game system: DC Heroes Role-Playing Game

Context

Villains & Vigilantes is an early (1979) pen-and-paper super-hero super-hero role playing game. We have a fairly large selection of characters from that game, with DCH stats.

They’re here in no small part due to nostalgia. But they also are interesting stock characters in that they can be easily inserted into stories, conveniently filling their niche.

Background

  • Real Name: Arnold Kisling.
  • Marital Status: Unrevealed.
  • Known Relatives: None.
  • Group Affiliation: V.I.L.E..
  • Base Of Operations: Mobile.
  • Height: 5’10” Weight: 180lbs.
  • Eyes: Blue Hair: Brown

Powers and Abilities

The suit Proditor Capella wears is intelligent and evil. It will whisper its enemies’ weaknesses to his hear, protect him, boost his physical attributes, make him fly, warn him about danger and useful details (using his high Danger recognition skill and INT) and generally twist his mind.

History

Arnold Kisling is an alien abductee. To this day, he just think the aliens were benevolent, as they just fetched him for a new minutes, flew him home and gave him a powerful costume as a going away gift.

Unfortunately, the Capellans who captured him are as nice as a hogshead of rabid wolverines. thus, the costume was a mind trap that drove Kisling to become an evil mercenary, lending his might to many criminal organizations in order to weaken the Terran governments and facilitate a Capellan invasion.

Proditor Capella often works for V.I.L.E. (Villains In Larcenous Enterprise), a little known criminal organization that specialize in “consultants” – superhuman criminals hired to other criminal organizations.

Description

See illustration.

Personality

Due to the constant nagging and advice by the “ghost” in his costume, Arnold is highly gullible and open to suggestion. If two people are shouting orders at him, he will obey the one with the most INF, even if that person is an opponent.

Arnold spend much of his free time buying all sorts of junk – anything that is convincingly advertised, in fact. If more than four persons are ordering him, he’s likely to curl up into a little ball and whimper.

DC Universe History

Just replace the Capellan with any alien race that strikes your fancy. FWIW, Proditor Capella is probably a spoof of the Greatest American Hero, so you could also use that for inspiration.
