Context

This character is an original creation. We often call these “homemades” or “homebrewed” – think home cooking or craft beer.

Many of these characters were created to take part in tabletop role-playing game sessions. Others were invented as a creative writing exercise, often as part of a community event. This specific character was produced by testing a random statistics generator and making things up.

Rationale for this random character

It’s not still clear if everybody in the alien race Safeguard and Mr. Spaceman belong to are that tough and show special powers. Per example, they didn’t say if the “shut down powers” ability Safeguard shows was common and Mr. Spaceman is a mutant born without it and magnetic control powers instead, or if it’s the opposite, although the second seems more likely.

Why? Because if the Neutralize had been common to the beings Johnny Clonic fried when he was “born”, the superkiller would have been stopped.

That was not the case, although it was for Safeguard. He was going to die when Clonic all of sudden lost his laser beam. Impressed, the criminal decided to take this green alien and his brother as servants.

Another reason to think Safeguard is the mutant one in the alien brothers duo is his head and back become sort of a parachute when falling, allowing him to glide safe and sound to the ground. Also, his brother “allergy” to gold has become, in him, an allergy to flashing sources of light.

It also seems that at the brother’s home planet science and magic lived together without none prevailing over the other. So, their now deceased master was a scientist, both brothers show deep knowledge about the magic world and Safeguard seems specialized in arcane items lore.

Safeguard holds the key to the hidden escape pod the brothers and Clonic arrived Earth and uses it as a private headquarter.
