A whole lot of very varied work virulently vies for viewers:

  • ENTRY REVISIONS. Three such overhauls in this batch :
    • Whip (King of Fighters) since a versioning error resulted in an older entry being published
    • The Galactic Golem. This old Superman foe should have been overhauled months ago but I sort of forgot about this galactically-empowered juggernaut of destruction. Sou desligado…
    • Ghost-Maker (previously referenced as Ghostmaker) the Mongol KGB Hand resurrected ninja
  • DERANGERS. You may remember that most of these Alpha Flight foes got revised a few months back. Well, we now also have their creator, the monstrous and insane psionic Bedlam.
  • We’re closing the work on the Russian Devastator class of armour with an entry for the second Devastator, and some tweaks to the first Devastator‘s entry.
  • BLACK SUMMER. Our final entry for the Seven Guns roster by Gareth – Kathryn Artemis. Hope you liked those ! She’s got some… impressive visual as the modern-day Artemis.
  • KING OF FIGHTERS. Another of Tom’s entries, this time with the pretty Athena Asamiya (originally from the Athena JRPG).
  • ART. Finalised art packages for the following fighting games entries:
  • Black Panther (whom we intend to revise one day) got an expanded Personality section to celebrate our favourite Wakandan festival.
  • FRENCH GENDARMERIE. Another member for this semi-popular series of home-brewed characters, the Family Man. As often with those it’s fairly complicated and a bit creepy.
  • PRISON BREAK. Peter continues visiting the gaols, and this time he covers Alexander Mahone.
  • STREET FIGHTERS. One of the classics gets covered by Tom – Thunder Hawk, the giant American Indian wrestler.
  • TEXTUAL HEALING. The following entries have received thorough readability improvements plus a few bonuses here and there :
  • MERCs. Though it wasn’t easy we got to check the Wildstorm trading cards from the 90s, where some of the only known pieces of backgrounds for some characters are. The MERCs have been updated to reflect the pertinent information on the back of these cards, including some technical aspects. Some entries have been upversioned to reflect those changes, and Kilgore, Deathtrap and Hellslayer each get an additional titbit of art.
  • And finally we got minor Ulysses Bloodstone foe/monster, the possessor. It looks weird.

Most of this was additional work on existing entry, but we’re nevertheless at 4383 entries.

That one went down quickly and has tons of low-to-medium-powered content :

  • ART. A good shot has been added to Pike‘s otherwise awful illustration bar.
  • MERCs. These generic, pre-made band of baddies from the older Wildstorm days have been revised, tweaked and illustrated to the modern WORG standards. Roll call:
    • Deathtrap. The MERC’s boss entry has been thoroughly revised and is the one with the most material – other MERCs entries refer to his for background.
    • Brutus, the brick
    • Hellslayer, the sharpshooteer
    • Kilgore, the berserker
    • Razer, the flying blaster
  • BLACK SUMMER. Continuing Gareth’s review of the Seven Guns — Angel One.
  • Cutter‘s power level has been lowered based on new assessments of Mace Blitzkrieg’s stats
  • FATAL FURY/KING OF FIGHTERS. Tom introduces three more characters from these games:
  • Fixed a few typos and some bad Spanish in Cinnamon II‘s entry
  • Pufnstuff covers Wesley Gibson, the protagonist of the movie version of Wanted, as played by James McAvoy
  • TEXTUAL HEALING. Another little pack of older entries got reviewed and edited several times so they read well:

Since those were mostly improvements for existing content, the new headcount is 4375.

This one is surprisingly varied, actually. Which is kind of neat. Roll call:

  • ART. A few bits here and there:
  • The Jaws entry got an additional DC History bit.
  • Some further details have been added to the Masters of Silence entry.
  • WEIRD SISTERS. A trio of strange alien heavies from the Marvel Universe, which can be handy to have:
  • Aquaman now has a “JLA”‘ rather than “Justice League” tag. Much better, no ? Thought so.
  • Bulleteer got a new boxed section about those appearances where she flies, got her History section extended to cover all appearances, and is now tagged as a former JLA member (since that’s debatable, there was a poll).
  • Peter decided to write up Richard Channing from the older TV series Falcon Crest. He does things like that from time to time.
  • KING OF FIGHTERS. Tom revised two entries from his fighting games stable :
  • … and introduces a new entry, Sie Kensou.
  • From Rucka’s wonderful but rather defunct Checkmate run, here comes the current Mademoiselle Marie, Joséphine Tautin, currently the Knight of the Black Queen. With a big historical section about the previous Mademoiselles.
  • BLACK SUMMER. Continuing Gareth’s arc with the Seven Gun – Dominic Atlas, the big guy.
  • Slowly continuing our definitive Question coverage, here comes a comprehensive entry about the Veitch/Edwards version of the character.
  • TEXTUAL HEALING. The following entries have been reviewed and edited a few times for readability:
  • The Cinnamon II entry has been updated to cover all appearances to date, including a lot of cool material about Checkmate’s Rooks.
  • Added one sentence to the Burner entry since previous research had missed a detail. I’m sure you wanted to kow about that, too.

Enjoy the material ! That be 4370 entries, too.
