24th of March, 2011

Well well well, March does get its second batch after all. That doesn’t solve the backlog issue, but it’s much better than just one. Roll call :

  • EVERQUEST. Another useful critter – Burynai fighters and the Very Good Power. Necrobadgers !
  • GREAT TEN. It’s over, folks ! The August General in Iron closes’ Gareth comprehensive arc about the PRC super-functionaries.
  • BLEACH. The biggest name by far in this batch is Ichigo Kurosaki, a detailed entry which logically starts Bryan’s Bleach work.
  • REWORK. The following entries have been noticeably improved and clarified through the power of rewriting and heavy metal :
  • CLAN DESTINE. Continuing Bryan’s foray through this Alan Davis book, we have Albert Destine — the healer.
  • BRÜTAL LEGEND. Heeeeeere’s Eeeedddiiie ! (throws horns, growls something incomprehensible in pseüdo-Norwegian, bangs head, lets WORG contributor Dr. Piispanen starts shredding a güitar solo)
  • Gareth introduces Danath the stonefighter from one of his novels, and explains everything about the stones-based magic used therein
  • BLOOD SYNDICATE. We’re working on a Dwayne McDuffie homage writeup, but in the mean time let’s improve our Blood Syndicate entries (especially since most of the improvements are something I was supposed to do two years ago…). Thanks to Roy, the following has been overhauled :
  • Lady Stilt-Man may have been meant as a joke character, but we actually like her and she definitely gets a writeup
  • WONDER WOMAN. We have a huge Wonder Woman arc in the work, but it’s so comprehensive that can you barely tell that most of the characters have a link to Diana. No such problem for Kho, the biggest Wonder Woman fangirl on all of Khundia and now the first Khund to ever become a Green Lantern.
  • DIXONVERSE. Another one of those Chuck Dixon street-level villains from the DC Universe. They’re just so useful ! Here’s Slyfox, a gunman and wheelman who’s not quite as cool as he thinks he is.
  • Furthermore, a handful of art bits have been borrowed (with full credit, obviously) from rapsheet.co.uk. These are :
  • Lastly, Peter adds another odd post-apocalyptic character to WORG – the Pilot, from a Swedish sci-fi novel you presumably haven’t read.

That’s now 4527 entries. Despite all of our efforts, many squirrels are bored tonight.
