Context

Kingdom Come was a landmark 1996 comic book mini-series. There were many intriguing character designs playing a bit part in it, such as 666.

There often was a smidgen more information about these character designs in secondary sources , such as the novelisation.

Powers and Abilities

666 is the ultimate masochist. He is surrounded by a thin energy shield that prevents him from any injury and in fact from most physical sensation.

Thus he seeks out pain, searching for something to make him feel through his protective shell.

In addition to this innate ability, 666’s right arm has been replaced with a seven-foot long mechanical artificial limb which he calls the Mark. This limb has a large claw on the end which 666 uses to inflict massive amounts of damage on whatever happens to be in his line of vision. The limb is also capable of delivering a strong electric shock.

History

666’s father was a nuclear plant employee who got “Dr. Manhattaned” (vaporized in an isolation chamber) but didn’t come back so nicely. In short, he had no godlike powers, and he was mad.

So he went around in this sort of wispy state, raping young girls in their sleep. One such girl (a 16-years old cheerleader) was to become 666’s mother. He knew he was unwanted from an early age, and boy does that leave some nasty psychic scarring.

666 apparently inherited his metagene from his father, although neither he nor his mother ever had any idea who that father was. 666 was imprisoned in the gulag and did not survive the conflict at the end of Kingdom Come.

Description

In previous times 666 would have been regarded as a freak. In the days leading up to Kingdom Come, however, he fit right in. 666 wears no shirt and has a large number “6” tattooed on either side of his chest, and a third on his face. His body is covered with piercings and scars and a small horn protrudes from his forehead above his left eye.

For clothing 666 wears leather S&M gear, including an impressive leather studded collar.

Personality

Imagine the least pleasant, most boisterous and obnoxious person you know. Add a dash of super powers and a world where many of the social mores have broken down and force and violence rule. That is 666.

He has absolutely no concern for anyone or anything other than himself. He will pick fights simply to pass the time and will always engage in killing combat. If innocent bystanders are hurt or property is damaged, well, that’s someone else’s problem, isn’t it. In short, he is the munchkin  player that all GMs dread.
