Powers and Abilities
Thanks to a transfusion from Black Lion after being mortally wounded, her own latent metagene erupted.
She has the ability to generate photons in an even spread from pale yellow to orange, and solidify them into a psionic matrix. Her imagination is the only limit to the shapes she can make. She tends towards creating constructs at range, keeping herself out of direct combat, if possible.
Her body’s healing ability has also been augmented to mildly superhuman levels.
By allowing a small amount of her energy to ’leak out‘, she can generate a personal force field, and let it support her, counteracting the force of gravity and producing thrust.
History
Amber Lawrence was the first love of Jim Danner, the Black Lion. At the time his powers surfaced, she had recently been diagnosed as having incurable brain cancer.
When the Drug Lord Donald Baer had her shot, it sparked Danner into a mental state where his metagene shot into overdrive, turning him from a low level metahuman into the entity he is. After dealing with Baer, he returned to the hospital, and gave a blood transfusion to his dying girlfriend. This changed her genetic structure and activated her own latent metagene.
She absorbed some of his healing factor . This both healed the wound in days, and regenerated brain tissue back so much the cancer was completely destroyed. While that healing factor died down to only moderately superhuman levels, her energy powers began to manifest.
Breaking up with Danner, she left to figure out both her powers, and what she should do with them. Ending up at the Mendolsson Memorial Hostel for Displaced Metahumans, she agreed to join the New Legion.

She wears a golden-brown leotard and jacket, and wears no mask.
Personality
A sweet, beautiful young lady, Amber moves with grace and style. She wishes she never had gained her powers, but also realizes that she has saved numerous lives. She also misses Black Lion a little, but has moved on, and begun to grow close to Silverlance, himself.

She can be used virtually unchanged, provided that both Black Lion and the Mendolsson Memorial Hostel for Displaced Metahumans is used, as well.
