Anthor Stoneaxe
Context
Anthor Stoneaxe is one of the ancient warriors trapped in the Soultaker magical katana. He and his colleagues were seen but once, in a 1984 Batman and the Outsiders storyline.
These guys were somewhat cryptic, and we only glimpsed what they can do. I thus took the liberty of speculating a bit, since a purely factual profile would be barren.

Powers and Abilities
Like all other Soultaker characters, Stoneaxe’s abilities are unclear. He seems to be some sort of Northern barbarian warrior. He wields a stone axe with great strength (in DC Heroes RPG terms, usually subbing his Martial Artist score for EV).
Why a man born after the XIVth century was wielding a primitive stone axe is unrevealed. Perhaps it’s magical ?
History
Anthor Stoneaxe is a warrior and lone explorer who was slain using the cursed katana Soultaker somewhere between the XIVth and XIXth century. His soul was imprisoned in that blade for centuries.
During the 1980s, the sword was stolen from Yamashiro Tatsu aka Katana, of the Outsiders. The thief was none other than her brother-in-law Yamashiro Takeo. Takeo had long ago become Yakuza for the Noguri clan.
Back to life, back to reality
On order of the Noguri oyabun, Takeo conducted a ceremony to free the souls held captive in the blade. These included Yamashiro Maseo, his brother. With the ritual, these trapped souls would be forced to become his servants and bodyguards.
Those resurrected from Soultaker efficiently conducted their duties against both the Outsiders and American gangsters, but could not prevent Katana from reclaiming Soultaker and using it to slay Takeo.
All Soultaker resurrectees are still alive. With Soultaker safely in Katana’s possession, are pretty much free to act as they want.
