Context
Beef was a member of the original Hellions of the White Queen (Emma Frost). If you’re not familiar with these guys, you should first read our Hellions team profile for context.
Like his colleague Bevatron, he joined the team in 1991. That was not too long before its demise. Thus, there is little material about him. But he has a fairly generic style and power, so he’s convenient for gamemasters.

Powers and Abilities
Beef was superhumanly strong, and had a degree of superhuman resistance.
He was a decent, but not remarkable, hand-to-hand combatant – although he could hold his own for some time against Namorita. The game stats assume that he was an experienced driver, though that wasn’t demonstrated.

As often with large characters his size is not quite coherent in the art. Our estimates for his height and weight are thus closer to averages.

Personality
Beef is a typecast jock and a boorish brute. He is chauvinistic, and has something of a paramilitary style.
His techno-organic zombie conditioning was briefly broken by Karma, but even then he stated that he served the Black Queen (Selene) willingly because of her sex appeal.

Complications
- Corn-fed Beef is a huge guy and rather easy to spot even without the bright magenta costume.
- Good ol’ boy He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, nor the one with the most decency. He also tends to act brashly.
- Chauvinistic Beef will routinely underestimate women in anything that’s not related to sex appeal.
