Bezoar
Context
This character is an original creation. We often call these “homemades” or “homebrewed” – think home cooking or craft beer.
Many of these characters were created to take part in tabletop role-playing game sessions. Others were invented as a creative writing exercise, often as part of a community event.
This specific character was part of a RPG campaign run by writeups.org contributor Bil.

Powers and Abilities
Bezoar is a strange entity from outside our realm, banished here for unknown reasons.
He can assume an immaterial form, immune to all but the most devastating force or energy. He does not walk upon a surface, as we perceive it, but can walk as high as a mile above the ground, wherever he is.
In addition, the effects of the banishment enable him to resist any efforts to transport him dimensionally, or via teleportation.
Finally, he seems to be at least partially immortal, having once reformed himself after appearing to have been dispersed by Blackblade.
Imbedded in his chest, even if he is immaterial at the time, is the Black Bezoar, a stone taken from the gullet of a dragon and heavily enchanted. It is not only harder than diamond, it even repairs itself, even if smashed into powder. It grants Bezoar potent sorcerous abilities, as well as a constant mystic knowledge of dire events and portents.
History
Bezoar simply appeared one day. He walked through the doors of the Mendohlsson Hostel, and requesting a room.
After showing his powers, he was grudgingly accepted as a member of the New Legion. He usually provides mystical support, and rarely enters into combat unless it is completely necessary.
Description
A shadowy, black figure, wearing the Bezoar partially imbedded in his (?) chest. Details seem to change from one moment to the next, but the Bezoar is a constant.
Personality
Mysterious and secretive, Bezoar plays it close to the chest. He has never had a self-sacrificing moment in his entire time with the Legion, and only uses the Bezoar’s full sorcery if his own life is in immediate danger.
DC Universe History
While not tied to the New Legion, he works best in an environment where mystic characters are sparse, and he can be as mysterious as possible.
