Powers and Abilities
For every impact Counterstrike receives, he absorbs most of the force and stores it like a battery. The more he takes, the stronger he gets and the more he can take.
History
Counterstrike is a former member of the Steel Harbor street gang known as the Wolf Gang, which has several superpowered members. When he was about 20, he chose to leave the gang to gain mainstream employment.
He went to work for a security company called Counterstrike Security. They gave him a superhero costume and name in order to make him a marketing symbol of their firm.
Back into the ‘hood
in 1994, the Prime Movers left the bad parts of Steel Harbor to set foot in the affluent neighbourhoods. Counterstrike responded. First, he took on human gang members. That was in order to build up his charge before taking on any Prime Movers. Then, he took down Airborne.

Unfortunately for Sayers, Mace Blitzkrieg found him next. Mace almost killed him in one shot with a thrown car. Titan barged in just after that to arrest the Prime Movers, who barely managed to flee.
Titan was then manipulated by Steel Harbor politicians aligned with the Prime Movers. Thus, he was sent after the Wolf Gang – whom he thought were the actual villains. Furthermore, Titan was growing more violent and irrational, and was liable to level the whole Wolf Gang turf.
Counterstrike had an encounter with his old mentor, Hunter, the leader of the Wolf Gang. Hunter convinced Counterstrike to defend his old hood against the mighty madman. Sayers managed to hold Titan off for a short while, but was badly wounded.
The fight was interrupted by the combined forces of both gangs, even though they couldn’t do much against Titan. But at that point the all-American crusader had to leave in a hurry as Motorhead had just been spotted over the affluent neighbourhoods.
