Demonfire
(Alexis Koronsky)
Context
Demonfire was one of the super-villains made up for super-hero tabletop RPG Champions. Many such characters were published in compendia across the various editions of the game. These often were cool reads.
Demonfire is a handy, simple, supernatural villainess, and I like the name.

Powers and Abilities
Demonfire can magically conjure and wield fire from Hell. She can protect herself with a burning force field, or cast attacks in the form of white-hot firebolts.
She can cause the area around her to ignite into intense, incinerating flame that will continue to burn. This can last until everything within (other than herself, of course) is consumed.
Because of her father’s demonic origin, Demonfire possesses the ability to travel instantaneously from spot to spot, bypassing normal space. In time, she may learn to bypass dimensions altogether. Her otherworldly eyes allow her to see well within the night’s darkness.
Her physical vessel is quite resilient. Howbeit, the right (or powerful enough) attack can still take her out if she does not erect her force field.
History
Alexis Koronsky’s mother was a Czech peasant. She was also secretly a witch. When the secret police dragged away her husband, she summoned a demon, demanding its aid. The demon swore the situation would be rectified in due time, but demanded its price in advance. And thus Alexis was conceived.

The woman’s life would grow more harsh. Impregnated, and thinking she could buy her husband’s release, she sold out the location of her coven. It was a lie, her husband remained imprisoned, and her fellow witches were destroyed. Barely escaping with her life, her last remaining support system was gone.
To make matters worse, her husband was told shortly before his execution that his wife gave birth to a child that was not his own. Destitute, she was forced to sell herself in order to have enough money to raise her daughter.
Demonic vengeance
It was hell, but she had managed to keep her daughter safe from the degradations that had befallen her own sad existence. Near death, she had suffered, broken, battered, and diseased for over 15 years. She would not have to suffer much longer. She should have been careful how & what she asked for (or demanded, as the case may be) years ago, for she was finally about to receive it.
The child fulfilled her purpose on her 16th birthday when she transformed into her current form, then incinerated the district police headquarters, destroying her stepfather’s killers and most of the surrounding town of fifty thousand. Vengeance was her birthright, and her hatred burned brighter than the sun. The situation had, beyond any doubt, been thoroughly resolved.
Lacking any further purpose, she would roam the countryside, taking what she needed and leaving naught but scorched earth in her wake. Restless, Alexis would remain in her homeland for but a few years before she travelled to the West. How better to satisfy her destructive urges than by obliterating productive areas and happy people rather than the meager, measly targets back home ?
Supporting herself through mercenary work, she would come to be known as Demonfire.
Description
Alexis Koronsky, as Demonfire, is a young, shapely, raven-haired, Caucasian woman of obviously demonic ancestry. She possesses small, pointed ears, and cat-like slitted eyes with no iris and blazing red pupils. It is entirely possible that she has small fangs as well. Sharp white horns protrude closely together from her hair well above her forehead.
Demonfire wears a shiny, crimson bodysuit which radiates more light than actually falls upon it, further suggesting the devilish nature of her powers. The suit shows a great deal of cheek & leg, but the top has long sleeves and a modestly wide cut v-neck, diplaying little to no cleavage.
A black trident design reaches from her lower midriff to atop her bosom. Her gloves and high-heeled boots are scarlet leather. She also wears a downward pointed, tiara-like headband, and lipstick, which are the same color as her bodysuit.
Personality
Demonfire was conceived for vengeance and destruction. She gets off on wide-scale devastation. She no longer has any long term specific goal. Left to herself, she will quickly become bored and resort to haphazard arson just to keep happy.
Quotes
“Burn with the fires of Hell and hatred ! Burn with Demonfire !”
DC Universe History
Demonfire could fit in pretty much anywhere. Perhaps she is an avatar or relative of Blaze, and would gladly enjoy causing trouble for Superman or Wonder Woman.
