Context

This character is an original creation. We often call these “homemades” or “homebrewed” – think home cooking or craft beer.

Many of these characters were created to take part in tabletop role-playing game sessions. Others were invented as a creative writing exercise, often as part of a community event.

Powers and Abilities

Dragonlord is an ancient and powerful dragon, with all the powers and abilities that entails.

While, at rest, he appears human, that is only because magic is not yet strong enough for him to maintain his natural form for long.

In dragon form, he is covered in greenish-black scales, with red eyes, horns, and various spikes flowing down his spine. He is capable of breathing out an extremely powerful jet of flame, has incredible strength and durability, radiates a field that frightens even the strongest of wills, and otherwise has all of the standard draconic powers.

In human form, he has moderate superhuman strength and durability, as well as limited flight, and his superhuman night vision and hearing.

History

He is a dragon, nearly five thousand years old. He was one of the first to return to Earth after the levels of magic began to rise. He appeared at the Mendolsson Memorial Hostel for Displaced Metahumans on the first day it opened its doors. He has been a member of the – ever since.

Recently, he reassumed his draconic form for the first time in the Modern Age. This has caused a dramatic new respect for the otherwise ridiculous looking hero.

Description

As an adventurer, he wears a hideously gaudy costume. It features an emerald-green scaled tunic, lighter green tights and sleeves, and a face mask shaped like dragon wings. He secretly _is_ a dragon, but only recently has revealed that fact.

His draconic form is huge, and is unbelievably strong. He has dark green scales, large horns and talons, and spikes down his spine. His eyes are red, and a long forked tongue flicks in and out of his mouth.

Personality

For a long time, Dragonlord was considered the weirdo of the New Legion. This is quite a statement for a team that has both Black Tiger and Darkenwulf. He claimed to be a dragon to all that knew him, and insisted he could transform, but chose not to.

Everyone humored him, until the day he actually did transform. Now, he is taken more seriously than almost any other member of the New Legion.

As a dragon, he is prone to speaking in archaic patterns, or even in riddles, but does so only out of idleness.

He also is yet to fully understand human social interactions, but is skeptical of any human motive beyond greed, lust, and friendship.

DC Universe History

He’s a dragon. Any time and place a dragon could exist, you could stick Dragonlord.
