Context

This character is an original creation. We often call these “homemades” or “homebrewed” – think home cooking or craft beer.

Many of these characters were created to take part in tabletop role-playing game sessions. Others were invented as a creative writing exercise, often as part of a community event.

Powers and Abilities

As her name suggests, the primary power she possesses is the creation of interspatial gateways. As one of the least combat capable members of the New Legion, she does her part by acting as the team’s transportation specialist.

If need be, she will fight, using her warps to redirect enemy ranged attacks, drop a brick  into an elevator shaft, and the like.

Like her sister, Allison is quite charming. However, she is not quite as adept at twisting men around her little finger as her big sister. And, while cute, she is not as devastatingly beautiful.

History

Valarie and Allison are sisters who grew up in the New York slums. Allison was relatively short, and plain, while her older sister, Valarie, was a knockout. When Allison was 12, and Valarie 18, the latter sister was forced into prostitution to take care of her sister, something Allison does not know to this day.

Eventually, they found out about the Mendolsson Memorial Hostel for Displaced metahumans, shortly after both their powers emerged. They haven’t looked back since.

Description

Under most circumstances, Allison wears no costume, since she will not be involved in the fight. When needed, however, she will put on a brown uniform jacket and tights, with a full-face mask.

Personality

To say she is just a touch more naive than her sister is an understatement. Valarie has spent most of her life protecting her ’baby sister‘, something Allison resents only slightly.

She has a big crush on Calvin, the Black Tiger. But the feline mutant won’t let himself get too close to her, until he can find a way to be able to assume a fully human form again.

DC Universe History

Flame Strike and Gateway are a pair, and should be kept together even if the New Legion is not used. Otherwise, they can be an independent duo, members of another hero team, or otherwise together.
