Powers and Abilities

Grenade is a powerful, highly resilient and well-armed power armor suit. Among his weapons are a sword attachment, a flamethrower, rays of violet-black energy, etc..

Among his defense are two clever systems :

  • An anti-energy weapons smoke screen.
  • A sort of ejectable weighted blanket that contains the impact and explosion of projectiles.

In DC Heroes RPG terms, both are modelled using Force shield.

History

According the Warmaker, Grenade is a deterrent weapon. It’s the kind of thing the US Army keeps while swearing it will never use it, since the threat of its use should be sufficient. However, they *are* used. One was launched against Golden City when it seceded from the United States.

Its goal was to find and kill Grace. But it was intercepted in the outlying fields. Grace had denied intelligence to the US, and the Grenade suit did not have an accurate enough objective.

The Grenade suit battled the Agents of Change until Grace downed its controlling satellite. It then self-destructed, the fuel-air explosion looking to the uninformed like a nuclear detonation.

The image of a nuclear detonation on American soil triggered a media backlash against the US, which was forced to withdraw its troops from Golden City.

Advantages:
Iron nerves, Lightning Reflexes.

Connections:
N.A..

Drawbacks:
Although it uses a teenager as its core system, the human is but a vegetable. Grenade is practically a flatline from the point of view of a telepath, and has no level of initiative (saves for firing randomly and blindly around) if cut from its control centre. This can be done by jamming its link, or destroying the Grenade satellite.

Also, the Grenade suit has a poor visual interface. Thus, the control centre can sometimes have difficulties understanding what is happening around the Grenade suit if the events are unusual, or see small details.
