Geek's HERB android of Black Ops (Image Comics)

HERB

Power Level:
Game system: DC Heroes Role-Playing Game

Context

H.E.R.B. appeared in a minor mid-1990s Image Comics series, Black Ops.

Our notes about this are pretty old. But he’s a stock humanoid combat robot, so having stats for that is useful.

Background

  • Real Name: Hazardous Environment Remote ’Bot.
  • Height: 8’9″ Weight: 1.5 tons.

Powers and Abilities

HERB is a powerful, autonomous, semi sentient robot. It is designed to operate in dangerous environments.

H.E.R.B. is superhumanly strong and durable, and obviously programmed for combat.

History

Discarded by IO, it was but a pile of junk in Crane’s yard. Geek, having nothing else to do, rebuilt it and educated it in front of the TV.

It is now used as a last resort fire support. Most of all, it allows Geek to see some action, as he has to accompany the robot in the field with a short range remote.

Description

It’s a tall, tough, grey, metallic robot.

Personality

HERB semi-sentient behavior makes it a bit dumb.

It’ll answer any request with an appropriate quote from a TV show or movie.

Quotes

“These are not the droids you’re looking for.”
