(Richard Anderson)
Context
This character is an original creation. We often call these “homemades” or “homebrewed” – think home cooking or craft beer.
Many of these characters were created to take part in tabletop role-playing game sessions. Others were invented as a creative writing exercise, often as part of a community event.
This specific character was part of a RPG campaign run by writeups.org contributor Bil.

Powers and Abilities
Jackhammer is a metahuman with superhuman strength, durability, and endurance. His skin is harder than steel, and his punches are even more devastating than his strength would indicate.
He also has a moderately accelerated healing rate, but it is not fast enough to be of use in combat.
On top of his physical abilities, he:
- Is a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant.
- Is skilled in the operation of most vehicles, including space vehicles. This is thanks to one of the adventures he has shared with the Alliance, and his training as a Marine Corps pilot.
History
Jackhammer apparently was a violent gangbanger. Impossible as it may seem, he later joined the USMC under an assumed name.
Richard Anderson, formerly Lieutenant, J.G. Anderson, was in training as a pilot for the USMC. This is when an experimental Air Force plane crashed close to the airfield where he was receiving his instructions. He rushed to the downed plane, rescuing the pilot.
However, its experimental power supply exploded, bathing them both in dangerous radiation. The downed pilot became Silverstorm, the lightning-fast flyer of Power Core. And Richard became Jackhammer.
They adventured together after both received a medical discharge. But Jackhammer ended up joining the Alliance, while Silverstorm helped found Power Core.
Description
A rather large man, ad slightly intimidating. He wears a leather vest and jeans under normal circumstances, and has no dual identity.
Personality
Direct and to the point, Jackhammer has nothing to hide. If he can’t bluff it down, or beat it with his fists, he has no use for it.
This makes him a valuable asset in combat, but it doesn’t really endear him to the other members of The Alliance.
DC Universe History
Any number of possibilities present themselves, including being “just another gene bomb victim”, to including Silverstorm, and translating the accident directly over.
