Jet-Set Jessie
Context
During the 1970s, confectioner and cakes maker Hostess advertised in major comic books. The advertisements were full-page comics starring Marvel and DC Comics characters (and Hostess products).
These comics were nonsensical and a parody of the most absurd aspects of Silver Age comics. They’re still fondly remembered for their goofiness.
Powers and Abilities
She’s fast. She spins fast enough that Batgirl’s batarang is unable to touch her. She effortlessly blocks Batgirl’s kick with her hand.

History
She appeared in “Batgirl in A Matter of Good Taste”, an ad published in Superfriends #42, amongst other places.
Batgirl attempts to stop Jessie by throwing a batarang at her, but the batarang is deflected. Jessie likewise deflects Batgirl’s kick.
Batgirl realizes that she needs to distract Jessie somehow, so she puts some Twinkies in a net attached to a batarang. She tosses this batarang near Jessie, causing the Twinkies to spill out. Jessie begins to eat the Twinkies. Batgirl rides away on her Batcycle, with a captured Jessie in back.
Description
She has short red hair held in place by a jewelled headband. She wears big ruby earrings. Her costume consists of a white sequinned pantsuit. The jacket has 8 red buttons (in two vertical rows) connected by zig-zagging red lines.
She wears red boots and two red bracelets.
Personality
She loves gold, silver, and jewels. However, like everyone on Earth-Hostess, she makes no distinction between real gold and Twinkies. “I always was a pushover for anything with good taste.”
