Powers and Abilities
Like all Pendorians, Ken’s body is enhanced by complex nanomachines. These halt aging and make him nearly impossible to kill. He also has implants that allow him to communicate mentally with the Pendorian AI network.
Ken also possesses “Shahtha”. This is an experimental suite of nanomachines that will give him superhuman strength and speed. Once. If not countered with special drugs immediately thereafter, it will burn out his entire system and kill him.
Ken is possibly the galaxy’s finest genetic engineer. He created the dozen or so sentient species native to Pendor. He is an able researcher with a working knowledge of most types of practical engineering.
He is also an accomplished writer, sculptor, martial artist and marksman, cook, pilot/driver of most any vehicle, and sexual athlete.
History
Once, there was was a highly imaginative and slightly alienated college student in modern-day New Hampshire. Through a series of events to complicated to go into here, came into possession of an extremely powerful technological artifact, possibly from another universe.
Offered a chance to do literally *anything* by Fawn Eldar, the AI who made up the central component of the artifact, Ken decided to create his own personal world.
Using Fawn’s incredible powers (Continuum Control among them, certainly…) Ken sought out the aid of a reclusive Greek goddess (another long story…). Then he traveled back in time to construct the massive, Larry Nivenesque ringworld of Pendor around a nearby star. Fawn then transported the whole thing to a ’pocket dimension’, for further work.

Megascale structure
Using Fawn’s technological resources, coupled with his own genius for genetics, Ken gave Pendor a working biosphere, teeming with life and diversity. He then set about creating a sentient population, genegineering several species up from Terran animal stock. He used advanced nanotech to make each Pendorian native functionally immortal.
Deciding to bypass the messy business of evolution and social development Ken helped his ’children’ build a near-utopian society based on mutual respect, personal responsibility, and just plain common sense.
When all this was finished, Fawn returned Pendor to the normal universe in the Terran year 1990. Then Ken made his presence and accomplishments known to the world of his birth. And that’s when things start to get interesting.
The Journal Entries chronicle bits and pieces of the next 1200 years of Pendorian history, focusing on Ken’s unique position as a sort of laid-back, user-friendly demigod to his people. They tell of his home life, his friends and family, his adventures on Pendor and out into the galaxy.
They also detail the odd love-hate relationship between Pendor and Terra, as Terran society moves out into the stars.
Description
Ken stands about 6 feet tall, and weights a trimly-muscled 180 lbs. He has a square, handsome face with sharp blue eyes and a rather prominent Jay Leno-ish chin.
He has a long thick mane of black hair that hangs down to his waist, generally worn loose, but sometimes bound into a single elaborate braid for formal occasions.
His preferred casual clothing is simple blue jeans or sweat pants and comfortable t-shirts with various slogans on them.
Personality
Ken is above all else an incredibly charismatic man. He is immensely personable, funny, passionate, and committed to his ideals, about which he can argue convincingly to almost anyone.
He’s a very kind and patient man, with the knack for encouraging people and bringing out the best in them.
He has a slight manipulative streak, generally kept in check by a strong conscience.
He is occasionally plagued by doubts about the rightness of his actions in creating Pendor and it’s people.
DC Universe History
In the DC Universe, Ken might have kept Pendor in its little pocket. Perhaps the same little sub-universe that New Genesis and Apokolips exist in? This would keep it a safe step back from a much more active and turbulent interstellar society.
It’s possible that he revealed his presence by sending Pendorian troops to aid his birthworld during the Invasion .
