Context
King is one of the SNK video game characters who started in a defunct series (namely Art of Fighting, which started in 1994) then transitioned to King of Fighters appearances.
She’s a flashy kickboxer who first opposed, then permanently allied with, the heroes of Art of Fighting (Ryo Sakazaki, Robert Garcia and Yuri Sakazaki).

Powers and Abilities
King employs a mess of kickfighting techniques that seem to mix Thai, French and Korean styles plus acrobatic techniques. Some of her kicks produce an energy projectile.
Description
When introduced, King was passing herself as a man for security reasons. She presented as increasingly feminine over time, perhaps to reflect the growth of her self-defence skills.
She’s now quite obviously a woman, but she still continues to wear a purple tuxedo in every single appearance.
