Pentagents aka Lesser Machines
Context
The Pentagents (a.k.a. “the lesser Machines”) are enemies of Dark Horse Comics’ Machine.
Like him, they are soldiers colonised by alien machine-like constructs and turned into cyborgs.
For context, it is best to first read the The Machine character profile.
Powers and Abilities
The Lesser Machines have the same basic powers as the Machine. They :
- Are heavy, superhumanly strong and resilient, immune to pain.
- Can interface with machines and computers using psionic energies.
- Are self-reconstructing and very hard to destroy.

History
A squad of six Pentagents was deployed when the government went hunting to repossess Avram Roman, aka the Machine.
These were experiments duplicating the original Machine. However they had fully lost their human mind, and were not as “mature” in their powers. The government agent coordinating them regularly dismantled then using a two-handed axe in order to build up their regenerative abilities.
The Lesser Machines proved to be no match for the Machine, and after a first skirmish attempted to subdue his mind by drawing it in their common mechanical group mind. That also failed.
Personality
None whatsoever. They do not speak, unless you have means to link up with their mechanical group mind.
Description
They often operate with large brown trench coats and hats.
DC Universe History
No problem, probably agents from LexCorp using ill-understood B13 tech.
