Powers and Abilities

Amalgam  of Marvel’s Daredevil (Matt Murdock) and Marvel’s Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze).

History

(These events take place in a parallel timeline  created by Ras’ Al Ghul.)

Clyde Johnson, son of Mary and Samual Johnson, had what would be called a normal life. He was the only child of a middle-class working family. That is until age 10 when his parents were killed in a car wreck.

Since none of Clyde’s relatives showed any interest in taking him in, a family friend, Kevin Nakamora, requested to be appointed his guardian. The courts agreed and Clyde went to live with Kevin.

Kevin taught the young Clyde judo, motorcycle riding and maintenance, and other things he would need to survive on his own. Clyde wanted to be a motorcycle racer and was on his way to becoming one, having won several local races before he turned 17, when disaster struck.

The accident

A small child was playing on the street Clyde was riding on when a nearby car went out of control and headed toward the child. Clyde revved his cycle, zoomed over, grabbed the child and pitched him onto the grass out of the way of the car. Unfortunately Clyde couldn’t get out of the way in time and the car slammed into him.

The medical records show that he was dead for approximately 60 seconds before the EMT’s could revive him.

During the time he was dead, he had conversed with some other-worldly power. He remembers a soothing female voice telling him that because of what he had done and who he was, he was being given a second chance. In a few days a package would arrive at his house and that he was to use what was sent to help others.

Considering the damage done in the crash the doctor’s doubted he’d walk again. And he’d be months in traction healing the damage. But other the other-worldly power had bestowed other gifts on him or the crash activated some latent power. Clyde was out of the hospital after a week, only keeping some scars that faded away after a few months.

Gifts

Clyde also discovered his other powers during the following months.

  • He could stun people at a distance with a blast of energy.
  • He could heal others with a touch.
  • He healed at an incredible rate.
  • He could make himself almost invisible to others around him.

He also learned how to use the gift. It was a very special motorcycle, that was waiting for him when he got home.

At age 19, after his healing power glitched and almost killed him, he decided to learn more mundane forms of healing. He enrolled at Monroe College . He took a two years course and became a certified EMT. He is now taking pre-med classes and plans to become a General Practitioner.

He works part time as a motorcycle mechanic and as an EMT with a local hospital.
