Midnight Ladies
Context
During the 1970s, confectioner and cakes maker Hostess advertised in major comic books. The advertisements were full-page comics starring Marvel and DC Comics characters (and Hostess products).
These comics were nonsensical and a parody of the most absurd aspects of Silver Age comics. They’re still fondly remembered for their goofiness.
Powers and Abilities
They can sneak around and steal stuff.

History
They appeared in “Batman in Hearts of Darkness”, which appeared in Superman #359.
The cops are having difficulty with the thefts committed by the Midnight Ladies who steal black pearls, furs, and caviar. Batman & Robin are discussing the problem with Gordon, when Batman considers the possibility that they might rob the city oil supply.
The dynamic duo speeds off to stop the Ladies. They find them about to “drain the tanks one by one until Gotham falls to its knees.” Batman & Robin, however, provide a decoy, namely Hostess™ Cupcakes. This distracts the Ladies long enough for the police to arrive and surround them.
“Sometimes good taste proves to be a fatal flaw,” comments Batman.
