Context

Mother May is a very early Image Comics character, back in 1992. She is mostly notable for her role in the original Cyberforce story arc.

The book later became a Top Cow property, but Mother May’s early appearances took place in an united Image Universe.

Powers and Abilities

A powerful mutant telepath, she uses mind control to make people do her bidding.

Though she’s blind, she possess a third red eye in the middle of her forehead. It gives her the ability to see the soul of other people. She telepathically sees through the eyes of people around her.


History

Mother May became news as she emerged as the leader of a mutant street gang. This merry crew grew to become one of the most powerful petty criminal organization in NYC.

The “Mutant Queen of Crime” began attracting the attention of the CEO of Cyberdata’s Special Weapons Division. The SWD was back then a recent creation.

The man was in charge of recruiting potentially powerful mutant to qualify to become part of the SHOCs (Special Hazardous Operations Cyborgs). These were the elite of Cyberdata’s mercenaries. Thus, he made a deal with Mother May . She provided the mutants, and he provided the resource to achieve her secret agenda.

What she wanted was the total control of New York City as a haven state for mutants. Mother May triggered a blackout, then an all-out riot fueled by her charismatic abilities. As she was broadcasting a TV ultimatum, Cyberforce kicked in to bust her. In the confusion of the ensuing fight, Kimata shot Mother May dead.

Description

She’s a gorgeous woman with a deep blue skin and three eyes. Two of them are vitreous and blind, while the third is shining red. Her dark hair are combed in an Egyptian queen way. She dress in a skimpy, sexy, expensive outfit.


Personality

Seeing what people thought contributed to her already paranoid personality. Then it pushed her in a permanent state of delusion.

She sees herself as the mother of all the rejected mutants among he city’s gutters. She uses her hypnotic powers to convince people that she’s, indeed, their mother.
