Omniscience
Context
This character is an original creation. We often call these “homemades” or “homebrewed” – think home cooking or craft beer.
Many of these characters were created to take part in tabletop role-playing game sessions. Others were invented as a creative writing exercise, often as part of a community event.
As to Omniscience – he’s a guy I found while digging though about 30 notebooks I have filled with characters for at least seven different game systems. I played around with some of his abilities.

Powers and Abilities
Omniscience has been genetically altered to be a “living computer” he can store unheard of amounts of data, and access it almost instantly. He can communicate with machines, computers, and artificial intelligences on a telepathic level, he can also download information. He is working on control but it has been slow in coming.
He is highly intelligent and surprisingly creative (surprising considering what they were going for). He can learn almost any language instantly. He is a highly skilled gadgeteer and has been trying to become a more rounded crimefighter.

Other assets
His physical stats were increased to their current level by a biochemical formula that Destroyer had taken from the Nazis. Bill tailored it to his genetic code.
His armor consists of a green stasis suit that he stores in a special chamber at the Valhalla Complex, his ring allows him to summon it to his body instantly. The range of said transport has thus far been uncalculated.
The suit allows him to fly, shoot bursts of energy, create force fields or shields, he also has a reserve core that allows him to augment his abilities.
History
Bill Carone was a promising if not brilliant engineering student at a Southern California tech school. His grades were good, but not spectacular, and he boasted an affinity with machines. He also had a photographic memory, which always made his profs wonder about the good his grades.
Interview with a Destroyer
However, his records, along with all the engineering students in the world, were stolen by Sennacherib, the Artificial Intelligence that served Dr. Destroyer. The bad doctor was searching for a suitable subject for his latest experiment.
He was going through a genetics phase. The fact that his sometimes allies VIPER had succeeded in creating an artificial human, Modem, had Destroyer in something of a tissy. He could not conceive they could be his superior in any scientific endeavor.
So, in a fit of egomania he decided that if they could create an artificial human based on a computer program he could do them one better. Dr. Destroyer would take a human and turn it in to a living computer. He became so delighted with his ironic little plan that it became his focus for a good year and a half. And the world breathed a collective sigh of relief.
All except Bill, of course. Bill was chosen out of all the “applicants”.
Experimental
Sennacherib, somewhat fearing for his own self worth (and possibly self preservation) chose Carone because a) his photographic memory was a good building block and he wouldn’t look like a ringer, and b) he had a very minor latent mutation.
This information was doctored by the jealous Artificial Intelligence, hoping that the mutation would cause the project to fail and therefore be tossed aside like the other failures. Nevertheless, the process worked marvelously.
Not only was Bill’s intelligence increased ten thousand fold, his already impressive memory capacity was increased several factors of ten as well. His ability to psionically link to machines and computers was an added bonus.
Bill was dubbed Omniscience by Destroyer and basically followed him around taking dictation. He was brainwashed by Menton to insure loyalty and then let run loose through the data files Destroyer had collected. He also engaged in games of skill with the Dr, Sennacherib and occasionally Menton and Gigaton.
Free will
What the Dr, and his cronies didn’t know was that Bill had managed to out will the brainwashing. Destroyer and Menton’s colossal arrogance allowed him to fool them. He played his part.
Omniscience then asked for permission to join the Dr. and/or his underlings in battle. Destroyer was pleased. He allowed Omniscience to develop and build his battle suit and enter into forays with them.
Bill’s first combat experience was against Eurostar. That happened during one of Menton’s attempts on his sister Mentalla’s life. The battle went badly and they had to be teleported out. However, the experience was exhilarating.
Bill began to plan his escape. He managed to rewrite several security programs without Sennacherib becoming suspicious. Then when he made his escape, he caused the security systems of Destroyers Orbital base to cover his tracks.
Back on Earth, Bill used his Omniscience identity to fight crime and his new intellectual prowess to start his own high tech empire. He eventually allied himself with a group of powerful young heroes and they dubbed themselves the Silver Guardians.
Description
Bill is a tall, well built, and attractive man with curly brown hair and brown eyes. He wear blue contacts because he likes the color better. He dresses in expensive suits.
His battle armor is skin tight and mint green with metallic forest green trim. His boots and gauntlets flare and he wears a pair of translucent green goggles. His Force Field and Force Shield are…green! And his energy blast is pale violet.
Personality
Bill is actually pretty extroverted. However, since his transformation he has found that he can speak to computers on his terms at all times and often prefers their company.
As a crimefighter he is stable and adventure minded. He is a Reed Richards type explorer. He feels that his powers give him a responsibility to use them wisely and aid humanity. If he gets to see other dimensions and worlds, and break a few heads while doing that, even better.
DC Universe History
Well, as an original character he has really no strings attached. However, he is tied into Dr Destroyer and his minions pretty tightly, so you might want to use them as well. Or you could use one of the DCU’s own mastermind criminals. However, I can’t think of one off the top of my head that would work just right.
