1Calorie Queen (pre-Crisis)

Three notes about this writeup. First, it covers a character who literally only appears once. Second, despite the lack of information, the writeup makes some well-reasoned extrapolations about the character’s background, motivations, and power level. Finally, I am a sucker for goofy Legionnaires like Matter Eater Lad, and this character is a female equivalent.

2Stasis

This one is another detailed writeup about an obscure 90’s character. Plus, it features a rare Rob Liefeld drawing featuring a character’s feet.

3Flash (1990s TV version)

I was a huge fan of this show when it originally aired, and the writeup captures the feel of the show. There are stats for his equipment, and some great roleplaying notes on subplots and power complications.

4Blizzard (Donny Gill)

The Blizzard has always been a rather minor Marvel villain, but I like that this one tried for a bit at being a hero. I like that the related articles all reference various ice-themed characters, like Iceman and Frozone.

5Mimic (EXiles version)

I remember the original Mimic from my Marvel Super Heroes days, but I was unaware of this alternate universe variant. This version had a much “longer” career than the original, and consequently had much more character growth.

6A boy named Sue

This one proves that you don’t need a printed or visual medium to create a character. The writeup makes some informed conjecture about certain aspects of his history and his appearance.

7Yeoman (Wild Cards)

Not enough people know about the Wild Card universe, where an alien virus mutates ~10% of the population into monsters and gives bona fide super powers to about 1%. Yeoman is a rare non-powered “hero” in this world, kind of a cross between Batman and Green Arrow.

8Wonder Woman (Gail Simone take)

There are a number of write-ups describing various eras and variations of this iconic heroine, but this one covers what many consider the definitive modern take on the character. It also contains links to many of the other various WW write-ups.

9Power rings

Too iconic to be only considered equipment, but not enough personality to be considered characters in their own right. All you want to know about the history and uses of the conduits of the Emotional Spectrum.

10Warbird

The seventh (!) in a series covering the history of Carol Danvers. Warbird was my favorite version of Carol. Partially because she is more powerful than Ms. Marvel, but less powerful than Binary. Many of her stories were also written by the incomparable Kurt Busiek, and this writeup captures that era.
