Peacemaker
(Kingdom Come version)
Context
This isn’t the original Peacemaker, but a version existing in a possible future of the DC Universe. These times were chronicled in the landmark series Kingdom Come, back in 1995.
Powers and Abilities
Peacemaker has no inherent super powers, although he has been trained to the peak (and maybe a little beyond) of human combat ability.
He uses an impressive arsenal of weaponry in his battle against crime and indecency, although it is believed he does not make his own equipment.
History
Peacemaker’s true identity is Top Secret, and thus the source of much conspiracy-theory related internet speculation. He is believed to be a former Special Forces member drafted for a “super soldier” experiment to fight President Quayle’s “Zero Tolerance” anti-drug/anti-terrorism program in the early 21st century. He is thought to have no connection to the original Peacemaker.
Several incidents, including the use of his Brainwave Scrambler on a car full of college kids who threw cigarette butts out the window, have landed Peacemaker in legal trouble. They also caused a great deal of embarrassment for his supervisors at the Justice department.
He was thus assigned to the Battalion over the objections of Captain Atom, and died while attempting to apprehend Parasite in Kansas.
Description
Boba Fett in brown and silver. Seriously ! Look at the armor ! He has a rocket-like jet pack, a large helmet with only a small vision slit, and totes around a big-assed submachine gun.
There is a symbol of a stylized white dove on a yellow background on his chest and helmet.
Personality
Think the Punisher combined with Rorschach, and then make him a little more of a hard ass.
The Peacemaker enforces law and order with brutal efficiency. He says little, preferring to let his weaponry speak for him. In general, he is not a pleasant fellow.
He delights in taunting Nightshade, attempting to provoke her to attack him.
