Pinpoint
Context
The H.E.A.T.E.R.S. appeared in a minor 1996 Image Comics series. What’s important is that they’re a ready-to-use trio of agents in good-looking power armour . Which is handy.
The other two H.E.A.T.E.R.S. are Cannon Fodder and Cricket.

Powers and Abilities
Pinpoint is a former I.O. Black Razor, who was particularly trained to wear experimental combat armors. Those field testers were regrouped in a team called the H.E.A.T.E.R.S. (don’t ask for the meaning of the acronym). Pinpoint is the field leader. He also does the talking with superiors and customers.
His armor, designed from a Black Razor’s armor chassis, is equipped with an armor piercing ion lances projector that fires blue energetic darts. It’s the only one of the team equipped with a proper flying apparatus.
History
How they were recruited in the H.E.A.T.E.R.S. special task force is unrevealed. They were Deputy Director Kwan’s special assets. She used them in special black ops that even her superior (the latest being Santini, as Director of Operations), didn’t know of. Though we can assume that Craven knew about it, and may even have sent her direct orders.
They were inserted in General Markov’s (a Communist hardliner, wishing to restore the past USSR glory, with him at the helm) entourage, as support force. Craven wished to show Markov his support in doing so. After his death, Kwan took over on his behalf.
The HEATERS confronted Crane’s Black Ops team in Markov’s complex. In the middle of the fight, Kwan ordered them to pull out after sanitizing Markov’s place. She did so because Rios (at this time I.O.’s Interim Director) and Santini, were closing in on her (and I.O., through Craven, before) involvement in Markov’s schemes.
So, in the end, even as Black Ops were on I.O.’s black list, and the HEATERS nearly had them, they spared Crane and his troops. They even did what he came for in the first place : to even his score with Markov and level his facility.

Description
His powered armor is steel grey, with big forearms housing the firing systems.
The visor is cased in an aperture that gives the helmet a smiling clown aspect, especially as the sensor arrays are cased in globes on the forehead.
Personality
As the rest of his team, he is very confident in their ability to overcome any opponent.
Though they act together, they prefer to split and deal with incoming threats one on one.
Quotes
“I don’t like losing kills. ’specially not to some little laptop-peckin’ worm like you.”
DC Universe History
Generally speaking, I.O. assets can be directly translated into DEO assets.
