Public Enemy

Power Level:
Game system: DC Heroes Role-Playing Game

Context

This character is an original creation. We often call these “homemades” or “homebrewed” – think home cooking or craft beer.

Many of these characters were created to take part in tabletop role-playing game sessions. Others were invented as a creative writing exercise, often as part of a community event.

Powers and Abilities

He’s used to making threats to get what he wants and has his Boom Box to make good on them. The tunes it plays cranked out are loud enough to liquefy concrete.

On the occasions where PE has been defeated he has the uncanny ability to run like mad to escape.

It has been suggested but never proved that Wayne Newton ’s music causes him to sit down and have a good cry.

Description

Public Enemy is a muscular young man.

He is always dressed in some music industry cliché – but never the same way twice. He has appeared in black leather with a clock around his neck. Once he had skin tight leather pants and a billowy shirt. He once made the cover of Time magazine dressed as Elvis.

Personality

Public Enemy is abrasive even when he is trying to grovel. He can grate on the nerves of a saint. When about his normal activities of bank robbing and destruction of public property he has the attitude of spoiling for a fight.

Public enemy always used denatured song quotes, usually 1970’s acid rock (or early 1980s rap) before attacking.

Quotes

“You’ll be climbing the stairway to heaven when I’m done with you.”“No stop signs, or speed limits ! Super heroes won’t slow me down !”
