Revenant - Doom video game - Upscale by Hidfan

(Doom video game monster)

One of the memorable monsters from the 1990s landmark Doom video games. See our profile for an unnamed marine for a lot more context.

As of this writing the 2016 version of the game has just been released, but this isn’t reflected in these stats yet.

  • Group Affiliation: Forces of Hell.
  • Base Of Operations: Mobile.
  • Height: 8’6” Weight: 260 lbs.
  • Eyes: None Hair: None

Powers and Abilities

It takes a couple of rockets to take a Revenant down. Revenants fire rockets themselves, in both “dumb rocket” and “homing missile” flavors.

The homing missiles are rarely fired. Which is good, as they may chase the target for quite some time, especially if there’s plenty of room for the missile to turn in (such as during an outdoor fight). Revenants also pack a surprisingly strong right hook for such skinny dudes.

The Revenants are extra-tall cyborged zombies sporting extra armour and armament.

Revenants are giant discoloured (dirt brown) skeletons. They wear tattered red pants and white torso armour much like the heavy body armour the Doom marine wears.

There are two mini-rocket launchers on either shoulder of the flak jacket. They’re usually hunched over, so they don’t stick out over obstacles quite as much as their height would otherwise suggest.

Shuffle around looking for enemies. Fire missiles at distant foes. Wallop opponents at close range with their bony little fists (and I bet those punches sting like hell, no pun intended).

Bonuses and Limitations:
Growth is Always on and only affects OV and volume (weight is not affected because of the Revenant’s skeletal structure makes it relatively light) (-4FC).

Weaponry (Heavy): 03

Life Support (Full).

Catastrophic Rage (if hit by an attack by any other type of demon, will almost always attack the offending creature), Miscellaneous (a moving Revenant makes a distinctive shuffling sound that can be heard at quite a distance — characters trying to detect or locate a moving Revenant get a -1CS Bonus to the OV/RV of the Perception Check), Strange Appearance.

  • Missiles (x8) [BODY 02, EV: 10, Range: 05, Grenade drawback].
  • Homing Missiles x4 [DEX 05 BODY 02, EV 10, Flight: 03, Life Sense (ML): 05, Grenade drawback, Flight can only be sustained for seven Phases (-2), Drawbacks: if the missile misses an attack roll by 3 or more, it accidentally hits the nearest surface and detonates]. The homing missiles use their own DEX instead of the Revenant’s Weaponry Skill. Life Sense represents the tracking system used by the missile ; accordingly, attempts to spoof the missile must foil that Power somehow].
