Powers and Abilities

Wilde is a competent, intelligent and driven investigative journalist. She’s a naturally good shot with a pistol, but she’s not normally a combatant. Her job is to report.

Wilde demonstrated superior skills in computer hacking.

Sarah Wilde is Left-wing English investigative journalist. She specialises in digging dirt about the government and large corporations.

During one such investigation, she went to have a look at the Orgley Biological Warfare Research Centre. She had reasons to suspect illegal activities there. Not only was she quite right, but she happened there while the super-soldier Hauer was escaping from suspended animation.

Let’s tag Hauer

He commandeered her car and ordered her to drive away. After tearing through an Army roadblock, they were ambushed by a SAS unit. They also attempted to kill Wilde since she knew too much.

Determined to find out the truth, she allied with the amnesiac Hauer. They starting working on discovering who he was and what had been done to him. During the following weeks Wilde and Hauer elucidated the mystery surrounding the super-soldier, joined up with another super-soldier called Dalton and invaded the headquarters of ECE, the company behind the super-soldier enhancements.

Wilde’s article was stomped with a D-Notice . That left her out of money and out of a job.

Freedom from the press

Hauer and his allies started working for the British government. Despite her misgivings Wilde agreed to join. Part of Wilde’s job was to make sure the government wouldn’t send the super-soldiers on ethically condemnable missions. That was because neither Hauer or his colleagues were much for questioning orders or conducting investigative work to check intel.

Wilde, Dalton (formerly code-named Dauntless), Owen (the surviving Welsh Super-Squaddie) and Hauer conducted various missions, and occasionally associated with S.H.I.E.L.D.. They later recruited Dragonfly (Andre Leroux), the Guvnor and Princess Xantia.

Within a few months, the Super-Soldiers were privatised, and their contracts bought by the shadowy Mercy Security Corporation. Wilde left, presumably to restart her career in journalism.

Wilde almost always wears a pair of jeans, a T-shirt or light pullover and a leather jacket.

Wilde is a cynical, professional investigative journalist. She has a clear head, mordant wit, progressive opinions and good personal charisma.

She’s also quite courageous, and has never hesitated to pick up a weapon and open fire to cover a super-soldier in difficulty.

While the super-soldiers take death and violence as granted, she is the voice of humanity and reason. Still, she understands the realities of combat and self-defence.

Having unearthed so many scandals, she despises the government and big business.

“Wow ! I can smell the testosterone from here ! Mind you, I reckon men with big guns are like men who drive big sport cars, and you know what they say about them !” (making a “tiny” gesture with her fingers)

“I don’t believe it. I’ve only been on the dole two months and I’ve already got a restart interview. They’re out to get me.”

“Fourteen rounds in the back. Done like a true SAS man, Hauer.”
