Powers and Abilities

A talented actress, Spygirl is also a highly skilled armed and unarmed combatant.

She is often armed with a pair of Shabushabu swords, and has rockets in her boots which allow her to fly. She’ll usually have other equipment (handled by Omni-Gadgets), such as:

• An electric shock baton.
• A taser.
• Bugs and a tracking device.
• Or a gas analyzer.

History

Star of the hit Japanese TV show Spygirl, about an inept secret agent, Yukio is also secretly Spygirl in real life. She works for the intelligence organisation MANGA (Middle Asian Network of Global Activities).

When Spyboy arrives in Japan after rescuing Bombshell from Hindasti slaver Slackjaw, Spygirl is assigned by her superior, Mr. Li, to chaperone him and his friends. This wasn’t made easy by Bombshell, who hated Spygirl from the last time they worked together. Bombshell believed that Yukio had abandoned her on a mission.

This animosity is only increased when Yukio finds herself attracted to Spyboy’s host personality, Alex.

Tracking down Slackjaw, they learn he’s allied with the immortal criminal mastermind Annie Mae, an old enemy of Spygirl. Furthermore, Slackjaw borrowed a giant robot from her with which he proceeds to demolish Tōkyō.

Capturing Annie Mae as they learn about the robot’s rampage, she offers them another giant robot with which to oppose him. But this mecha  requires all of them to pilot, leaving Annie Mae to escape. They accept and stop the rampage.

Her TV show off air for a while, Spygirl was sent to America to keep an eye on Spyboy. She enrolled at his school as Kimmy. She accompanied Spyboy and Bombshell on missions, despite her animosity with the latter.

Memories

Some time later, she discovered a picture of herself that she couldn’t remember being taken. Confronting Mr. Li, she gets him to reveal the details of the case which occurred just prior to the first time she remembered meeting Spyboy.

While suspicious that her memory had been tampered with, Mr. Li assured her that she didn’t remember it because the Spygirl who had performed the mission had died. The Spygirl program was revealed to have a number of young women of similar appearance available to have the Spygirl persona implanted in them when the previous one died.

Mr. Li drugged her and had this information wiped from her memory.

Personality

Energetic and bubbly, Spygirl enjoys her job, and is devoted to the safety of her country. Sometimes impulsive and highly strung, she can quickly get caught up in situations. But she rarely allows her emotions to take control during serious situations.

Her screen persona is much the same, just more clumsy and ditzy. Her actress persona also seems similar, but without the seriousness the true Spygirl has.

Spygirl: [Rushing to an emergency] “No time !!”
Fan: “But you’re the most beautiful actress ever !”
Spygirl: [Turns back to give autograph] “Well aren’t you kind to say so ?”
