Back during the Tick’s peak in the 1990s, we took quick notes about some of the minor, goofy characters. Such as this lot.

Powers and Abilities

Each is a world class spy, with extreme hand-to-hand fighting prowess.

Their giant Swiss Army Knives provide them with many weapons and tools necessary for spying.

History

The Spies tracked Carmelita Vatos around the world as she searched for the second moth suit created by her father, millionaire inventor J.J. ”Eureka” Vatos. They hoped that she would lead them her father’s diary, which contained notes for all of his inventions.

After following her to The City, the Spies ambushed her and Arthur in the Bistro de Burden. They could get both the diary and Arthur’s moth suit (which contained the secrets for cracking Vatos’ diary’s code). But their plans were foiled by the Tick and American Maid.

Bernard attempted to escape with the diary and Arthur’s pants, but was stopped by Arthur using Franz’s Swiss Army Knife. They were arrested a short time later.

Description

Each spy wears an all-black jumpsuit with the red and white swiss cross on the front. They all carry a large Swiss Army Knife.

Bernard has a gray mustache, Hilda has a lock of red hair that peeks out from under the jumpsuit’s hood, Claus is a tall, muscular man and Franz has curly blond hair. Each speaks with a light Swiss accent.

Personality

Each spy is quiet and methodical during a mission.

Bernard, the leader of the group, is the only one who speaks regularly, calmly giving instructions to the others. He also speaks as the voice of the group to their enemies.
