Generic Martian invaders

(War of the Worlds and variant stories) (Part #1)

A review of Martian invaders as portrayed by the great H.G. Wells in several novels, followed by a review of those Martian invaders that The War Of The Worlds inspired. So that's a lot of Martians, yeah.

Obscure maritime DC Comics villainess. Fought the Outsiders, and the Flash. Not a headliner, but quite workable for ocean-based stories.

Epsilon Red

An intriguing ex-Soviet altered cosmonaut. Psionics. As of April of 2021, this profile was dusted off and received Mutants & Masterminds cosmo-stats.

Sacrifice

(Evangeline M'Baré)

A young super-heroine from Wakanda, with budding mutant magic. She was a Player Character in an early 1990s MSH campaign, because I like being 25 years early to the party. As of April of 2021, this profile has received Panther-blessed portraits.

Pere Fouettard (“Whipping Father”)

A French Gendarmerie officer with unusual shape-changing powers. Your daddy issues are his strengths. As of April of 2021, this profile was issued with new portraits.

Agent Triangle

An original LGBT super-heroine. Agent Triangle was a Player Character in a DC Heroes tabletop role-playing campaign during the 1980s and 1990s. As of April of 2021, added some portraits. I've been doing that a lot lately.

Carrie Smith

A character from the 1991 Temps short stories about odd superhumans. Flying activist lass trying to be a super-heroine in London. As of April of 2021, this profile received portraits making Barney Rubble.

Diesel

From the Stephanie Plum novels. Stealth supernatural regulator who likes all sorts of cookies. As of 2021, this oooold entry has received a new illustration.

Nika the Chain

Mysterious space-warping abilities, fire powers, plenty of a lotta many guns, orb shields, crazy laugh, sexy body markings... Lilith as it all. As of March of 2021, this profile was entirely redone and partially updated.

Two very young super-heroines, from a comics series by Bendis and Oeming.

Dharlu

An enigmatic and powerful alien seen in a few 1970s Justice League of America stories.

Joshua and the Family

An obscure 1970s DC villain. But he appeared in a major/classic story arc of those days. A Charles-Manson-like with hypnotic powers.

Special Agent Vera Englund

Specialagent Englund is a enhanced detective in a Nordic Noir possible future. She appears in the well-reviewed 2019 Whispers of a Machine video game.

A full-on example of a Player Character in the Warframe video game. This also explains Tenno Void abilities, a chunk of the game's backstory, the Lotus-issued spaceships (pre-Railjack), and the like.

Owlman

(Pre-Crisis version)

A sort of creepy, evil would-be telepathic Batman from another reality. This is the 1964 version, not the Grant Morrison one. As of October of 2019, this profile was reworked using the incredible power of our unparalleled genius brains. And as of April of 2020 a technical review/explanation was appended to the stats, since they're a bit abstract.

Brain Globes of Rambat

1962 enemies of Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes. Very Silver Age. Powerful alien mentalists. As of December of 2019, the illustrations were redone and they received M&M game stats... in a transparent globe!

Mind-Wave

He fought Daredevil and Uri Geller in 1976. Yes, really. Telepathic powers, telepathic tank, telepathic henchmen. As of October of 2019, this profile was revised and updated.

Uri Geller

(Marvel Universe version)

So yes, Uri Geller once appeared in Marvel Comics - a 1976 Daredevil issue. He was, of course a psionic hero. As of October of 2019, added spoon-bending M&M stats.

Girl with the silver eyes

The very young heroine of Willo Davis Roberts' 1980 children novel, The Girl With The Silver Eyes. Small town telekinetic and telepath.

A strange, feline-like species of heavily engineered war beasts and predators in the Warframe video game. They're like psionic space super-panthers, I guess.

Psylocke

Second profile for Psylocke of the X-Men, covering the era from the Siege Perilous until the year 2000. As of August of 2019, our contributor Pawsplay used the focused psychic totality of his powers to append M&M stats to this article.

Telekinian

A Brooklyn lad with minor telekinetic powers. Good friend of Patsy Walker a.k.a. Hellcat! Ian is mostly supporting cast though.

Nyx-class warframe

A short-ish profile of the Nyx warframe from, well, the Warframe video game, for use in tabletop/pen-and-paper RPGs. Chaos, confusion, mind control, illusions... Nyx makes a mess.

Fugue

The main bad guy in the third Batgirl of Burnside collection, Mindfields. Memory manipulations and injection, somewhere between the Inception movie and gaslighting/psychological abuse. Not easy to use in tabletop RPGs, mind.

El Tigre

An obscure enemy of the early X-Men, then of Ka-Zar and Mockingbird, back in the days. He was never quite developed but he has ties to Latin American mobs, the Mayan gods, the Savage Land, oil cartels and other uncommon story elements. So there's potential here.

Master Mind Excello

Obscure 1940 proto-Marvel super-hero. All-knowing and nigh-invincible defender of America. As of January of 2019, this profile received excellent M&M stats and was mindfully remastered.
