Trocantor was part of the complex sci-fi universe of defunct 1990s publisher Crossgen. You can read more about that in our other Negation character profiles. This profile has S P O I L E R S for the storyline.

But he’s otherwise an alien telepath. Which can be useful in many contexts.

Powers and Abilities

Possessing powerful telepathic abilities, Trocantor can:

  • Read and control minds.
  • Cause targets to halt in their tracks.
  • Sense and communicate over distances using an intermediary, such as when he used a dog to carry out a conversation.

Physically, Trocantor is very weak. He’s unable to carry around the vast bulk of his enlarged head, and so requires a hoverchair to move around on.

See the History section for one of his colleagues — say, Tibian — to avoid repetition.

Detached and analytical, Trocantor is usually the last to act. He prefers to think things through, or to solve the problem without having to resort to violence, when he’s most at risk.

A devoted agent of Charon, Trocantor underwent a crisis of faith on learning of Charon’s former mortality. But he became an ardent acolyte after his glimpse into Charon’s mind.
