Powers and Abilities
Trogg is a strong, muscular man and a brutal hand-to-hand fighter and gunman. He has superior pain tolerance.
Between his familiarity with heavy weaponry, his technical talents and his preference for military-style clothing, it is likely that Trogg served as a soldier. He might have generic soldierly skills on top of those noted in our game stats.
Maker
Trogg also has a talent for electronics and tinkering with small tools, though how he learned those skills is unrevealed.
He built Bane’s Venom dispenser. This a convenient, robust, well-made gadget but not a comic-book-gadgeteer -level piece of equipment. He also built shotgun mikes and other surveillance gear to gain intelligence. For instance, these allowed Bane to listen to conversation between Batman and Commissioner Gordon near the Bat-Signal.

Other convenient, specific gadgets used by Bane (such as a pistol shooting multiple needles filled with Venom, or explosive charges) were presumably built by Trogg.
The Gadget he seemed the proudest off was a remote-controlled bomb. It was mounted on a remote-controlled threaded chassis, protected by heavy armour plating. Trogg dolled up this vehicle to make it look like some sort of combat super-robot. But it was probably just a bluff.
History
See the Bane (writeup 1 – Bat-breaker) entry.
Trogg was reportedly sent to Pena Duro for having killed about 8 or 10 men. Strong and savage, Trogg was even more feared in prison. He reportedly killed more than 20 men there, and was the boss of a gen pop block in Pena Duro.
(Yes, “Duro”. Santa Priscan Spanish doesn’t appear to be standard Spanish.)
Apparently, Trogg wanted “his” block to be civilised. For instance, he beat up another convict trying to enslave a 6-year old boy.
Working for Bane
Bane abandoned his henchmen after his defeat at the hands of Batman (Jean-Paul Valley). Why is not explained. But Bane seemed disappointed at the performance of his men, and in particular how they had led Valley to him after Batman had tricked them into escaping from prison.
A few years after the fall of Bane, Trogg was spotted as one of the prisoners in Lockdown’s then-current illegal prison. He was wounded by Panara, another prisoner. However, the place was then invaded and secured by actual police.
Description
Trogg looks like a caveman – complete with a flat brow and squished face. The hair on his forearms can only be called fur. Presumably his nickname is a shortened form of the Spanish troglodita, since he looks strikingly like a genetic throwback.
Trogg’s height is difficult to evaluate. He’s unusually stooped. His posture makes him look much shorter than he actually is – perhaps 5’2”.
As a further Doc Savage reference (Trogg being the equivalent of Monk), Trogg’s skin is usually bronze-coloured. However, his complexion varies significantly from issue to issue.
Personality
Trogg is generally quiet and disciplined. Like the rest, his ethics are prison-forged – if you can’t defend yourself in a bare-knuckles fight to the finish, you’re just meat. And if somebody does something Trogg doesn’t like, a beatdown is an appropriate response. That’s just the way things are.
